The Connecticut Statewide Transportation Study is collecting information about everyday transportation choices and travel patterns in the state of Connecticut. The study reaches out to Connecticut residents to understand their travel behaviors including how they travel, where they go, why they travel, and how long it takes. This information is vital for transportation agencies in the state including the Connecticut Department of Transportation to not only understand how the existing transportation system serves the residents of the state but also to plan for future transportation needs.
The CT Commuter Rail Council will meet on March 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Darien Town Hall Auditorium located at 2 Renshaw Road, Darien. The public and commuters are invited to attend to learn about upcoming improvement projects at Noroton Heights station and Atlantic Street/Stamford Transportation Center. During the meeting, the public will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences and talk with representatives from the Connecticut Department of Transportation and Metro North Railroad.
At the February Board Meeting, professors and students from UConn presented their findings concerning rail station parking usage and pricing, as well as findings from a survey of how students commute to the Stamford campus. Continue reading UConn Presents to WestCOG

On January 14th, WestCOG hosted its annual Legislative Breakfast at the Cobbs Mill Inn in Weston. Attendees discussed finance, the legislative process, transportation & infrastructure, energy, housing, and social services.
