Darien: Noroton Heights Study Public Meeting

Darien is hosting a public meeting about the Noroton Height Station Area Study. Residents, businesses, commuters and other local stakeholders are encouraged to attend this meeting for an update on the study, and to provide input on potential improvements around the Noroton Heights Station.

Community Participation is Key

This event will provide citizens an opportunity to talk with members of the project team including Town of Darien representatives, WestCOG, as well as planners from the NV5 consultant team. The project team will share an update on the study, and attendees will be encouraged to participate in a discussion of recommendations for the study area.

Community participation is a key component of the Noroton Heights Station Area Study as it will help focus the study efforts and shape recommendations and strategies for the future of transportation around the Noroton Heights Station Area.

About the Noroton Heights Station Area Study

  • The study area is approximately half of a mile around the Noroton Heights train station.
  • The purpose of this study is to develop recommendations to enhance:
    •  Mobility, accessibility and safety
    •  Station area parking
    •  Traffic operations
    •  Pedestrian and bicycle environment
