AECOM was engaged by WestCOG to evaluate parking supply and demand for train stations in municipalities within the South Western Region MPO, including the Danbury and New Canaan Branch Lines. The purpose of this analysis was to evaluate parking supply and demand from a more regional perspective, and elucidate any existing economic relationships or dynamics of parking lots and parking demand between stations along the New Haven and Branch Lines.
Over the course of several months, AECOM collected substantial data and background information on train stations, related public and private lots, and the surrounding communities for this analysis. Their findings can be found in the ‘MetroNorth New Haven Line Parking Analysis’ report.
