In September, staff from Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, & WestCOG met to discuss the Public Works Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) project. With GPS devices installed in municipal vehicles, the project focus has turned to building a web-based application to view and query vehicle location and historic data. The Public Works AVL project is an outgrowth of the Regional GIS Service and is funded by a grant from the State’s Regional Performance Incentive Program.
We work collaboratively with government and civic leaders to provide exceptional public services for Western Connecticut.
