At the WestCOG board meeting on September 17th, staff members, Rob Sachnin and Mike Towle presented on Hazard Resiliency in the Region. Their work created several profiles of the region, including economic, transportation, socioeconomic, and environmental, which allowed them to visualize “resilience corridors,” or areas which mitigation projects can be focused on. In the presentation they also reviewed the completed, ongoing, and proposed hazard mitigation work.
