Climate Action Plan
The EPA established the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) to encourage Metro Areas and states to develop Climate Action Plans. These Climate Action Plans will outline actions that will reduce climate pollution (such as CO2) along with estimates on the quantities of pollution reduction.
WestCOG is partnered with MetroCOG in the development of a Metropolitan Climate Action Plan which will include the Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Stakeholder support will be critical to develop meaningful climate pollution reduction actions. In addition to our MSA Plan, WestCOG is collaborating with neighboring plans from the Hartford Metro Area, New Haven Metro Area, and the Statewide Plan.
