Public Comment Requested on Draft Public Participation Plan

The three organizations in Western Connecticut responsible for regional transportation planning are updating their shared Public Participation Plan.

These are the Western Connecticut Council of Governments, the South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Housatonic Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization.

The eighteen municipalities in Connecticut served by the three organizations are Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Sherman, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton.

The public comment period for the Draft Public Participation Plan and Title VI Plan guiding transportation planning by these organizations is now open. The public comment period extends for 45 days from the date this notice is published.

Access to a hard copy of the Draft Plan is available at the WestCOG office 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, evenings by appointment, or leave your name and address and we will send you a copy by surface mail. Internet access to a digital copy of the Draft Plan is available here.
