Council Members
The Western Connecticut Council of Governments consists of the chief elected official from each of the region’s eighteen member municipalities. Together, they establish regional priorities, adopt plans and budgets, and provide policy direction for WestCOG’s work.
The Council elects a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary to serve as its officers. These officers, together with any additional members appointed by the Council, comprise the Executive Committee.
The Council meets monthly to conduct business, discuss issues of regional interest, and consider matters affecting the Western Connecticut Planning Region. Council meetings are open to the public, and residents are welcome to attend.
Note: The SWRMPO and HVMPO have additional voting members.
