Study Overview
The Sherman Center Connectivity Study aims to develop a comprehensive transportation plan by identifying short and long-term strategies that will improve mobility, safety, and accessibility for all users navigating Sherman Center. The study will develop a concept plan that reflects community-centered priorities which may include intersection upgrades and pedestrian/bicycle enhancements. The report will also include an implementation plan with project details, timelines, and potential funding sources.
Study Area
The study area centers around the intersection of CT Route 37, CT Route 39 and The Sherman School driveway. It generally extends from the Sherman IGA and Ridge Road in the north, east to Veteran’s Field, south to the Sherman Town Beach, and west along CT Route 37/39 including key locations such as the Sherman Post Office and Colonial Park.

Public Engagement
Engagement is a crucial element of this study that will guide how Sherman Center will evolve to meet existing and future mobility needs and realize the Town’s vision. Future public meeting dates will be shared here.
