Westport Bus Study Final Report – Opportunity to Comment
The Western Connecticut Council of Governments in cooperation with the Town of Westport and the Connecticut Department of Transportation conducted a study of Westport Bus Service. The purpose of the study was to evaluate Westport Bus and paratransit services, identify community transit needs, and develop a transit plan that responds to community needs within reasonably available financial resources.

Branchville TOD Charrette Summary Available
The Western Connecticut Council of Governments is currently working with the Town of Ridgefield to develop a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Plan for the Branchville Station Area. This plan will build upon previous planning for the area including the Route 7 Corridor Study and the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Danbury Branch Line Study.

New Trail Discussed
WestCOG met with Peter Hearn and Dr. Peter Rostenberg to discuss the potential for a multi-use trail system along Margerie Lake Reservoir. The proposed trail could serve as a pedestrian link between New Fairfield and Danbury along Rt 37.
Requests for Qualifications Have Closed
The Requests for Qualifications for the Stamford Bicycle-Pedestrian Plan and the Darien Noroton Heights Train Station Study have both closed (on September 29th and October 8th, respectively).
